Treatment
White Fillings
Invisible repairs — and old metal fillings replaced.
Fillings should be something you forget about. Tooth-coloured composite repairs decay invisibly, and tired silver fillings can be swapped for something you can't see.
What is it?
Modern composite resin bonded into the tooth in layers and shaped to restore the natural anatomy — strong, mercury-free and matched to your tooth's exact shade.
Is it for you?
- New decay or a lost filling
- Replacing old amalgam (silver) fillings
- Repairing small chips and worn biting surfaces
The process
How it works
Every step, up front — so nothing about your visit is a surprise.
Numb & prepare
The tooth is gently numbed and only the decayed part removed — modern dentistry is deliberately minimal.
Layer & sculpt
Composite is bonded in thin layers and sculpted to rebuild the tooth's natural shape.
Bite check & polish
We check your bite feels right and polish the filling until it vanishes.

FAQs
Common questions
The questions I'm asked most about this treatment.
Are white fillings as strong as silver ones?
For the vast majority of fillings, yes — and because composite bonds to the tooth, it can actually reinforce it rather than just plugging a hole.
Should I replace my old metal fillings?
If they're sound, there's no rush. If they're cracked, leaking or bother you cosmetically, replacing them is straightforward — we'll assess each one honestly.
Will the filling be sensitive afterwards?
Occasionally for a few days, especially with deep fillings. It settles; if it doesn't, I want to see you.
